It’s still a little crazy to think about how much society has changed in the last decade. But it’s even crazier to think about how much society will change in the next decade.
You’ve probably heard someone say, “You can’t do this, you’re just a girl.” or “You can’t do that because you’re too young.”
As we become more and more aware of these comments and the societal expectations we carry with us, we need to know that we have the ability and power to stand up and say: “No, I’m going to be what I want!”
You have the power
The world is constantly spinning around, preoccupied with the idea that you need to fit in.
Society tells us that if we don’t act like everybody else, we’re not going to make it. But society’s constantly changing, and it’s time for us to change too.
Society has long told women that they need to be submissive and give up their own goals and dreams by staying at home with the kids.
Society tells girls that they need to wear dresses and fit into a certain mold. Society says that young people can’t accomplish much because they’re just kids.
